Halogen Cooking Made Easy Part of the Halogen Made Simple Range Dee Hunwicks 9780956393548 Books
This is follow on to the previous book "Halogen Cooking Made Simple" and follows the same format; ring bound so it lays flat with a large colour photograph on the left page with the ingredients and the method of cooking on the right page.Initially there are a few pages of useful hints followed by recipes for 8 starters, 33 main courses and 8 desserts. All are easy to prepare and cook and give a good range of choices some of the titles have slight poetic licence for example "Beef Wellington" is a piece of fillet steak between two pieces of puff pastry hardly the classic beef wellington but much easier to make. There are a number of interesting recipes which I have not come across before such as "Curried Parsnip Soup" and "Pork in a Orange & Marmalade Sauce"
Like the previous book a bit more proof reading would help for example I don't think the intent is to count out 25 bread crumbs (should be 25 grms)The only recipe, of the ones we have tried, that did not work very well were the cinammon rolls which cooked better in an oven than with the halogen cooker in that with the halogen they were caramalised (burnt) at the top and underdone at the bottom.
If anything this is better than the previous book which was also very good.
